The Resolute Men of Eta Phi

The Resolute Man journey 

In 2016, Theta Chi Fraternity launched an ambitious and exciting initiative called The Resolute Man. This program represents the future of Theta Chi by defining the desired outcomes of membership in a measurable way. The requirements outlined within The Resolute Man serve as a roadmap to help members maximize their Theta Chi experience, while also providing a valuable tool to showcase the leadership skills and knowledge the Fraternity instills in its members.

There are three distinct tracks that a member of Theta Chi can follow to become a Resolute Man:

• The Individual Track: This track encourages members to take advantage of opportunities within their chapter, on campus, and in the community.

• The Event Track: This track centers around Theta Chi’s Initiative Academy, an opportunity to engage in a cohort-based experience that focuses on brotherhood, professional networking, and personal leadership growth.

• The Experience Track: This immersive professional experience provides members the opportunity to connect with prominent alumni who are experts in their fields. It allows participants to build meaningful relationships, expand their networks, and gain firsthand insight into careers they are passionate about pursuing after graduation.

Each track offers unique opportunities for personal and professional growth, ensuring that every member of Theta Chi has the tools to become a Resolute Man.

The Resolute Man

Becoming a Resolute Man is the highest and most honorable achievement a member of Theta Chi can attain. Upon earning this distinction, a member is awarded The Resolute Man insignia—a diamond-shaped guard that attaches to his badge. Once received, the member may wear this guard for life, provided he remains in good standing with Theta Chi Fraternity.

The Resolute Man serves as a set of standards that define the true essence of membership in Theta Chi. A member who achieves this honor has studied The Creed, understands the significance of wearing the letters Theta Chi, and upholds the Fraternity’s traditions and ideals to the highest standard.
